'Salvage' victim found in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon – The body of a suspected “salvage” or summary execution victim was found at the construction site of the South Luzon Expressway Toll Road 4 in Barangay Mangilag Norte here on Monday morning, Feb. 10.

Police said the victim lying on a grassy portion was discovered by a field engineer of SLEX Toll Road 4.

He reported it to the barangay chairman who informed the police of the discovery.

The victim was wearing black T-shirt and black and yellow Old Navy boxer shorts.

Police said the victim's back was slightly burned. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
