Laborer hacked dead in Laguna

PANGIL, Laguna – A 22-year-old construction worker was hacked to death here on Monday, Feb. 10.

Police identified the victim as Moises.

Investigation said the victim and the suspects Joselito and Joel were having a drinking spree when a heated confrontation about their work erupted.

The suspects hacked the victim with a bolo until he died.

Meanwhile, a 52-year-old widower was stabbed dead by a laborer in his house in Barangay Manggalang Tulo-tulo, Sariaya, Quezon on Monday afternoon.

Police identified the victim as Marcelo.

Investigation said that the victim was in the kitchen when the suspect and neighbor Ludivino, 48, arrived and stabbed him in the chest.

Police said jealousy is the motive of the killing.

Lawmen are hunting the suspects who fled and conducting follow-up investigation.
