LAOAG CITY--Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial candidate ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo says he is not happy despite being consistently on top of pre-election surveys.
What the House deputy majority leader wants to see is all 12 Alyansa bets crack into the winners' circle in the Senate race.
"Hindi rin po ako natutuwa na no.1 po ako pero may mga kasama po ako na lagging behind (I'm not amused with being no.1 if my fellow Alyansa bets are lagging behind). I'm not happy," Tulfo told a press conference here on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
"As a matter of fact I pray every night that all the 12 na binanggit ng Pangulo ay makasama ko (all the 12 names mentioned by the President would get to be with me). Honestly, I pray to God.
Tulfo says that being on top of surveys is "the least of my concerns".
"The corncern is all of us 12 will be there. Kaya nga po alyansa po ito, sama-sama (That's why this is an alliance, we're together)...it's a coalition, it's a force, and we need to be united," said the broadcaster-turned-congressman.
He said he was willing to help "pull up" the other Alyansa candidates instead of just sitting back.
Tulfo nonetheless thanked Filipinos for his strong showing in the surveys.
