Bato: FPRRD to endorse PDP-Laban's senatorial candidates at kick-off rally

Former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte will formally endorse the senatorial candidates of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) at their proclamation rally this week, Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa said.

Dela Rosa confirmed this in an interview after attending mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, at Fiesta Celebration of Barangay Maharlika, Quezon City.

The senator said the former president is resolute at showing up and giving the PDP-Laban’s senatorial slate the “moral support” they need for the duration of the May 2025 election campaign.

But the former leader may only be able to go with them in some areas where they could hold a large gathering.

“Siguro yung malalaking areas lang na pupuntahan, sa south kasama siya. Pero sa campaign, no. Medyo may edad na e (Maybe he can join us during huge events, he may join us if the event is held in the south. But during the campaign, no. He is already advanced in age),” dela Rosa said.

“So yun lang, sa kick-off and yung bago mag-election, miting de avance, dun kasama siya (So he’ll be at the kick-off rally and before the election day, during the miting de avance, he’ll be there),” he added.

The proclamation rally of the PDP-Laban’s senatorial candidates will be held at the Club Filipino, Greenhills in San Juan City on Thursday, February 13.

Senatorial candidates that are running under PDP-Laban’s wing under Duterte include reelectionist senators Dela Rosa and Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go, actor Philip Salvador, lawyer Raul Lambino, SAGIP Party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, lawyer/musician Jimmy Bondoc, lawyer Jesus “Jayvee” Hinlo and Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy.
