The resolution sought to address rising criminality in line with the Dalipe administration’s policy to prioritize and promote safer and more secure communities.
The special Peace and Order Council meeting was held following calls to institute stricter security measures due to a series of shooting incidents.
Last Friday, three men were ambushed by Sports Utility Vehicle-riding assailants in Barangay Tetuan. The other week, a long gunman shot Register of Deeds Jaybee Baguinda in the busy downtown area.
