They united under the “Protect VP Sara” rallying cry and expressed disappointment with legislators who supported the impeachment move against the Vice President.

Randy Usman, a former deputy mayor representing the Maranao Tribe in Davao City, called on participants to ensure that lawmakers who supported Duterte’s impeachment received zero votes in future elections.

Usman emphasized that Davaoeños and the Filipino nation must express their sentiments regarding recent events in the country, particularly the filing of impeachment complaints against the Vice President.

Rallyists  carried slogans calling for transparency, stronger governance, and the protection of national programs, including flood control, overseas workers’ welfare, and the return of PhilHealth funds.

The rally highlighted the dissatisfaction of attendees with over 200 lawmakers who backed the impeachment move.

Wearing green shirts and holding candles, supporters reiterated their stand to defend Duterte, emphasizing her electoral mandate from over 32 million voters. The gathering also demanded accountability and reforms on various national issues.
