6 people arrested for illegal gambling, shabu, unlicensed firearm in Taguig
Five men and a woman were arrested for illegal gambling, and possession of shabu and an unlicensed firearm in Taguig on Feb. 9.
Personnel from the Taguig Police Substation 10 arrested the six individuals on Floraville Street in Barangay Rizal, Taguig.
During a foot patrol, the police saw the suspects playing cara y cruz. During further search, the police discovered the shabu and an illegal firearm.
The suspects were identified as alias Glendolf, 26, male, construction worker; alias Anjo, 26, male nursing attendant; alias Ronnie, 27; alias Elmer, 37; alias Arjay, 31; and alias Myra, 37.

The police seized P700 in bet money and three P1 coins used in the gambling activity. They also confiscated a .38-caliber revolver loaded with four live ammunition rounds from Glendolf.
They also discovered five sachets of shabu weighing 30.8 grams valued at P209,440 from the following: 6.63 grams from Glendolf, 7.73 grams from alias Ronnie, 1.23 grams from alias Elmer, seven grams from alias Myra, and 8.19 grams from alias Arjay.
A complaint will be filed by the police against them for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 (illegal gambling), Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
The arrested suspects were turned over to the Taguig Station Drug Enforcement Unit.
