GAC introduces Emzoom R-Style Black Edition

GS3 gets a new color for 2025

GAC Motor Philippines hopes to appeal to buyers looking into the GS3 Emzoom but yearning for a fresh look. It has introduced the GS3 Emzoom R-Style Black Edition, a cosmetic update to the existing R-Style trim. 

The Black Edition retains all key design elements of the Emzoom R-Style, including its center-mounted dual exhaust pipes and light dart taillights. The notable update is the all-black body, complemented by orange accents for contrast. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires continue to be standard on this trim, reinforcing the model’s sporty appearance rather than enhancing performance.

Powertrain 

As with its predecessors, the Black Edition features the same 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline direct injection (TGDI) engine, delivering 176-Ps and 270-Nm of torque. The powertrain remains paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (7WDCT), ensuring the driving dynamics are identical to the regular R-Style variant.

Interior 

Inside, the Black Edition offers the same dark-themed cabin with premium materials. Features include a multifunctional leather steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and leather seats. Passenger convenience is supported by second-row air conditioning vents and a rear USB port. The only visual difference inside is the blue-and-black color combination.

Standard features

The Black Edition retains features standard on the R-Style variant such as adaptive cruise control, surround view camera, passive entry passive start, tire pressure monitoring system, hill-start hold control, hill descent control, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. ADAS functionalities, such as auto emergency braking, lane warning and assist, forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, and high beam assist, are also unchanged.

Pricing 

GAC Motor Philippines is offering an introductory discount of up to ₱90,000 on the Black Edition and other R-Style variants. This promotional pricing brings the Black Edition’s cost down to ₱1,199,900. However, aside from the visual update, buyers receive the same features and driving experience as the standard R-Style model.
