Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the BFP positioned the vehicles in strategic areas to remind Pasayeños to avoid using firecrackers and fireworks, which pose serious risks to life and property.
Rubiano added that the visible presence of fire trucks and ambulances also serves as a preparedness measure to ensure faster response to emergencies and fire incidents.
The city government and the BFP emphasized that prevention remains the best protection, urging residents to choose safe and responsible ways of celebrating the New Year with their families.
Residents who need immediate assistance during emergencies or fire incidents may call 911 or 0927-471-4017.
The mayor also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and work together in keeping Pasay City safe and injury-free as the year turns.
