Ex-Nueva Ecija mayor arrested in buy-bust

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – A former mayor of Santo Domingo town, Nueva Ecija province was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Talavera, Nueva Ecija on New Year’s Eve.
Recovered from the suspect, considered a high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade, were suspected shabu valued at P476,000 and the buy-bust money.
Police Regional Office-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said the arrest underscores their sustained and intelligence-driven campaign against illegal drugs.
He assured that police operations remain firm, lawful, and consistently focused on protecting communities.
