Host and comedian Yoo Jae-suk bagged the grand prize (“daesang”) at the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards held on Dec. 29 at the MBC Media Center Open Hall in Seoul. 

The 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards honored personalities and shows on Korean channel MBC. 

Yoo Jae-suk, a regular cast member of the MBC show “Hangout with Yoo,” took home the grand prize, his ninth in the MBC Entertainment Awards. 

Throughout his career, he has won 21 grand prizes from different entertainment awards and the Baeksang Arts Awards. 

“I received my first grand prize in 2005, and I received my 21st in 2025. I don’t know what the future holds, but I will try to get to 30,” he said. 

SHINee’s Minho won the Multiplayer Award for “I Live Alone.” Seventeen’s Seungkwan won the Hot Issue Award for the show “The Wonder Coach” while The Boyz’s Eric won the Rookie Award in the radio category for “Idol Radio.”
