Malaysia's Amplefield pours ₱950 million into Batangas warehouse project

The local affiliate of Malaysia-based investment holding company Amplefield Ltd. is spending ₱950 million on a warehouse project in Batangas, according to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
In a statement, PEZA said Amplefield Malvar Inc. broke ground for its expansion project at LIMA Technology Center last Dec. 17.
The project covers the construction, operation, and maintenance of 13 warehouse buildings intended for sale or lease to enterprises registered with the investment promotion agency (IPA).
It is expected to expand the availability of high-quality industrial space in the ecozone for export-oriented and supply-chain-driven locators.
PEZA Director General Tereso Panga said the project reflects strong confidence among neighboring countries in the Philippines as a strategic investment destination.
“In PEZA, we say investments grow when they are invested right. With your trust in doing business in Philippine ecozones, rest assured that your investments will be protected, and we are fully committed to supporting you as you grow your business,” Panga said.
This was echoed by Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) president How Han Hui, who stressed that the investment further affirms the enduring trade and investment ties between Malaysia and the Philippines.
“This new venture marks an exciting step forward for industrial development in southern Luzon and stands as a testament to the strong and continuing investment confidence from our regional partners, especially from Malaysia,” he said in a social media post.
Singapore Philippines Association Inc. (SPA) President Andrew Koh added that the project will create new employment opportunities and drive technology transfer, reinforcing the country’s role in the global value chain.
“[The project] is exactly the kind of partnership that builds sustainable economic growth,” he said in another social media post, noting that this is a strong vote of confidence in the future of Philippine manufacturing.
Coinciding with the groundbreaking, Amplefield subsidiary CAM Connectivity (Phils.), Inc. also celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Light Industry & Science Park II in Laguna.
From its start as a precision manufacturer, CAM Connectivity has evolved into a one-stop shop offering services from initial design to manufacturing and final assembly.
The company also operates a black anodizing facility, serving the technology needs of the electronics, automotive, and aerospace sectors.
CAM Connectivity employs over 200 workers across its facilities.
As a PEZA-registered enterprise, the company qualifies for fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, streamlined business processes, and other benefits.
