Iloilo town vice mayor accidentally shoots self

ILOILO CITY – Vice Mayor Aimee Paz Lamasan of Dueñas town, Iloilo province was wounded after she accidentally shot herself on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
“We are looking at accidental firing,” said Police Col. Kim Legada, chief of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO). “The incident was reported after she was taken to the hospital,” Legada said.
The incident allegedly occurred Tuesday morning at the private residence of Lamasan in La Paz District.
Investigation said Lamasan was packing her belongings as she was supposed to travel back to Dueñas when the trigger of her personal gun allegedly went off.
