Saudi Arabia extends humanitarian care to Filipino conjoined twins
H.E. Faisal Ebraheem Alghamdi, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of the Philippines, shares a meaningful moment with Filipino conjoined twins Olivia and Gianna Manuel and their parents
In a remarkable gesture of compassion and international solidarity, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has stepped forward to provide life-changing medical assistance to Filipino conjoined twins, Olivia and Gianna Manuel.
The initiative comes under the gracious directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud — may Allah preserve and protect him — who ordered the separation surgery to be conducted in the Kingdom. This humanitarian mission underscores Saudi Arabia’s longstanding commitment to global medical aid and its dedication to alleviating human suffering across borders.
Ahead of the twins’ departure, His Excellency Faisal Ebraheem Alghamdi, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of the Philippines, personally received Olivia, Gianna, and their parents. The Ambassador inquired about the girls’ health and well-being, emphasizing that this noble initiative reflects the Kingdom’s leadership in humanitarian work and highlights the deep-rooted friendship between Saudi Arabia and the Philippines.
“This effort exemplifies the Kingdom’s leading role on the international stage,” Ambassador Alghamdi noted, expressing gratitude to the wise leadership for its unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes. He offered prayers for the success of the surgical procedure and for the continued prosperity of the Kingdom.
The twins’ family, visibly moved by the generosity extended to them, conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the Government of Saudi Arabia. They expressed profound gratitude for the medical care and humanitarian support provided to their daughters, praying for the well-being of the Kingdom’s leadership and for enduring security and prosperity for Saudi Arabia.
This humanitarian mission not only offers hope to Olivia and Gianna but also serves as a powerful symbol of compassion, cooperation, and friendship between nations. It reflects the Kingdom’s vision of extending care beyond its borders, reinforcing its role as a beacon of generosity and humanitarian leadership in the global community. This is the fourth case of conjoined twins from the Philippines who will soon be traveling to Saudi Arabia for separation surgery.
