The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Monday, Dec. 29, confirmed that missing bride Sarah “Sherra” De Juan has been located in Sison, Pangasinan.
According to police, personnel from QCPD Police Station 5, with De Juan’s family, are en route to fetch her from her current location.
QCPD acting Chief PCOL. Randy Glenn Silvio said De Juan’s family reported that a civilian contacted them.
“Pumunta po yung boyfriend at saka kapatid ni ms Sherra sa police station at ni report dun na may tumawag sa kanila na natagpuan si ms Sherra sa province ng Pangasinan (Ms Sherra's boyfriend and then her brother went to the police station and reported that someone had called them and found Ms Sherra in the province of Pangasinan),” he said in an interview.
He confirmed that De Juan is alive although her statements remain inconsistent at this time.
“Buhay po at may mga revelation siya pero hindi pa consistent eh (She is alive and has revelations, but he's not consistent yet),” PCOL Silvio said.
The Pangasinan police have also positively identified De Juan.
De Juan was reported missing after she left her residence on the afternoon of Dec. 10 to buy shoes for her wedding.
Her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, said she was last seen at around 1:30 p.m. at a gas station along Commonwealth Avenue corner Atherton Street in North Fairview, Quezon City.
She was wearing black pants, a black jacket, and a black shirt, and was carrying a tumbler and a coin purse.
When she failed to return home, her family immediately sought police assistance.
QCPD investigators reviewed possible routes and destinations, including Fairview Center Mall and nearby transport terminals where De Juan was believed to have gone after leaving the gas station.
As part of the investigation, the QCPD conducted a digital forensic examination of De Juan’s personal electronic devices. Police disclosed that the examination showed signs that she had been experiencing emotional distress and financial difficulties before her disappearance.
According to investigators, the findings indicated that these challenges were reportedly linked to her father’s medical condition and the pressure surrounding her upcoming wedding.
Further examination of De Juan’s laptop revealed that she had conducted online searches related to medications that could cause death, the effects of drug overdosing, and similar topics before she went missing.
Authorities emphasized that these findings form part of the overall assessment of the case and are being handled with extreme care and sensitivity.
Police said further updates will be released once De Juan is safely reunited with her family.
This is a developing story.
