Carla Abellana shares wedding video: 'A love story over 20 years in the making'

Just like the saying goes, ''Good things come to those who wait'' and luckily for Carla Abellana, her love story came at the right time.
The Kapuso actress shared the same-day-edit video of her wedding with Dr. Reginald Santos, which took place in Tagaytay on Dec. 27. Mayad Studios captured the special moment.
Featuring some of the behind-the-scenes footage before walking down the aisle, Carla showed off her radiant wedding glow in the video.
"My first and last. A love story over 20 years in the making. Two lives coming full circle. This is our story. - Dr. and Mrs. Reginald Santos ????," Carla wrote on her post.
Calling their love story a full-circle moment, the actress couldn't help but feel emotional and grateful for giving her the best surprise in her life.

"Sometimes the bad things that happen to us in our lives put us directly on the path towards the most wonderful things that will ever happen to us. Who would have known it was still going to be us in the end? Just when I stopped looking for anything and anyone, life surprised me in the most unexpected way. It felt familiar. It wasn't messy or uncertain. It was real. It was healthy,” Carla said during her wedding vows. 
Meanwhile, Dr. Reginald mentioned in his vows how he felt a period of uncertainty in his life before finding his way back to his high school love.
"Hi, my love. You’re beautiful, as always. It is that same beauty that captivated me since I first laid eyes on you. I can still vividly remember that we were in high school. We were young back then, we fell in love, and then life had other plans for us,” Reginald recalled. 
Despite going on different paths, Reginald added that meeting Carla as the best version of themselves is God's perfect time.
"You were, as I remember, kind, loving, selfless, God-fearing. We reconnected at the perfect time, and we are now the best versions of ourselves,” the doctor said.
Carla admitted she couldn’t envision her life had she never reconnected with her first love.
"I've never laughed so well, eaten so much, slept so comfortably, learned a lot about life, communicated well, been taken care of this way, and so much more before you happened again," admitted Carla, who was previously married to actor Tom Rodriguez.
