2 boys hurt by firecrackers in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Two young boys have been injured by firecrackers here.
A seven-year-old boy from Barangay Tugbungan was injured in the eye after he was struck by a Kwitis on Christmas Day.
An eight-year-old boy from Barangay Santa Catalina sustained injuries in the hand from a Super Lolo, a powerful firecracker, on Dec. 26.
Victims were taken to the Zamboanga City Medical Center and were discharged after treatment.
Authorities reminded the public about the dangers of using firecrackers. Zamboanga City has a no firecracker policy.
