Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Sunday, December 28 confirmed that Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Leviste wanted to hold a meeting “to seek advice” regarding the alleged files of the late Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary Catalina Cabral.
“True. Cong. Leviste was requesting for a meeting ‘to seek advice on how to go about the Cabral files, etc.,” Lacson said in a message to reporters.
But at that time, Lacson said he got very busy with the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee which he is heading as the panel proceeded with its investigation on the flood control anomalies.

Earlier, Leviste shared on his social media account documents supposedly provided to him by Cabral.
These include detailed summary of allocations of the DPWH per district, province and region from 2023 to 2026.
