Rep. Acop's ashes to be brought to Batasan for necrological rites

The ashes of Antipolo 2nd District Representative Romeo Acop will be brought to the House of Representatives on Monday, Dec. 29, for necrological services.
Dr. Philip “Bong” Acop, son of the late lawmaker and former Antipolo City councilor, confirmed that a Holy Mass and necrological rites will be held at the Plenary Hall, Batasan Hills, Quezon City, beginning at 9 a.m.
Colleagues and partymates are expected to honor Acop by sharing their memories and tributes during the ceremony.
Following the rites, Acop's urn will be transferred to his district office and headquarters at Cristimar Village, Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City, where public viewing will continue.
A second necrological service is scheduled at 3 p.m., with supporters and friends joining the family in remembrance.
The urn will remain at Cristimar Village until the morning on Dec. 30, allowing time for a vigil before being brought to the Haven of Angels Memorial Park on Sumulong Highway, Antipolo.
A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m., followed by the inurnment at 10 a.m., where Acop's ashes will be laid to rest beside his wife, former Rep. Resurreccion Marrero Acop.
