BACOLOD CITY – Twenty-eight rookie policemen from Region 9 or the Zamboanga Peninsula region were deployed to the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) on Friday, Dec. 26.
They – eight females and 20 males – were part of the 2025 Additional Attrition and Regular Recruitment Program.
Police Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO-NIR director, led the oathtaking and turnover ceremonies at the PRO-NIR administrative building in Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Barangay Estefania here.
In his message, Ibay recognized the sacrifices they made in leaving their families in the Zamboanga Peninsula region to serve in Negros Island.
This reflects their dedication to national service and the highest ideals of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Ibay said.
"This is a heartfelt commitment to serve the Filipino people with honor, discipline, and integrity," he said.
Ibay stressed that their PNP uniform represents both privilege and accountability.
"You are duty-bound to uphold the law, protect human rights, and serve the public with fairness, humility, and compassion," he said.
He said their induction is more than a ceremony. “It is a powerful affirmation of vigilance, accountability, and the enduring mission of peace and order, promising a safer and stronger Negros Island.”
