Man nabbed for raping 13-year-old stepdaughter in Pasig
A construction worker was arrested for four counts of statutory rape after allegedly raping his 13-year-old stepdaughter for a year in Pasig City.
The Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the suspect as “Onyok,” 57, listed as the No. 1 most wanted person. He was nabbed following a joint operation conducted by the Pasig City Police Station, in coordination with the Regional Intelligence Unit–National Capital Region (RIU-NCR) and EPD–Eastern District Intelligence Team (EDIT) in Barangay Pinagbuhatan on Monday, Dec. 22.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the acting presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 159, Pasig City, in connection with four counts of statutory rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 11648, as well as sexual assault.
Authorities said that the suspect sexually abused his 13-year-old stepdaughter from May 2024 to June 2025. Due to threats made by the suspect, the victim was unable to report the abuse.
They said that the incident was only discovered after the victim’s friend saw a video showing the lewd acts committed against her.
The victim's friend immediately forwarded the video to the victim’s mother, who was in Davao City at the time. It prompted the mother to seek help from her friend, who contacted the police to rescue her daughter from the abuse committed by the suspect.
The suspect is temporarily under the custody of the Pasig City Police Station Custodial Facility Unit.
EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Aden T. Lagradante said the Eastern Police District will continue its efforts to bring justice to victims of serious crimes.
“Hindi magkakaroon ng puwang sa ating lipunan ang anumang anyo ng karahasan at pang-aabuso. Ang EPD ay mananatiling matatag sa aming tungkulin na hanapin, habulin, at papanagutin ang sinumang lumalabag sa batas (There is no place in our society for any form of violence and abuse. The EPD will remain steadfast in its duty to locate, pursue, and hold accountable anyone who violates the law),” he said.
