ABS-CBN News rounds up the year as Kapamilya journalists revisit the most talked-about and controversial stories that dominated the national conversation in 2025 in the year-end special “Sa Likod ng Balita 2025,” airing this Sunday (Dec. 28).

In the special, Kapamilya journalists including Karen Davila, reflect on their firsthand coverage of major 2025 headlines, from flood control investigations exposing alleged corruption to key stories on governance, politics, disasters, elections, and historic Filipino achievements in sports, pageantry, and more.
Key political developments also take center stage, including the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte and the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte. These events underscored deep political divisions within the government, as the Supreme Court nullified the impeachment filing while the International Criminal Court denied the former president’s petition for interim release.
