Suspect in fatal car dealership shooting in QC arrested
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has arrested the gunman in the murder of two security guards inside a car dealership showroom along Commonwealth Ave. in Barangay North Fairview, Quezon City (QC), on Christmas Eve.
The police identified the suspect as "Charren," 24, and a native of Cagayan de Oro. He was arrested on Dec. 25 in Tondo, Manila.
Based on the police investigation, Charren and the victims were initially engaged in a drinking session at the service area of the car dealership when the suspect suddenly approached a sales executive and expressed his "intent to kill someone."
After the drinking session, the suspect went to the lounge area and quickly shot the two victims dead. One of the victims was shot in the head, while the other was shot in the throat.
Charren exited the car dealership on foot before riding a taxi to escape.
The incident was immediately reported to the police, who conducted a manhunt against Charren which led to his arrest.
Seized from the suspect were a 9mm pistol loaded with live ammunition, bottles of liquor, two cellphones owned by the victims, and other items.
"The suspect will be charged with two counts of murder and robbery before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office," the QCPD said.
