During a press conference for the movie "Shake, Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins," the stars, collectively known as FranSeth, regaled the showbiz media with fascinating tales woven with intrigue and mystery, recounting encounters and unexplained phenomena that seemed to leap from the pages of a fantasy novel.
Tapos lagi kaming nauusog at tinatawas. Mga ganyang klaseng horror stories. (Ever since I was a child, the word horror has stuck with me. Now it doesn't, but when I was a child, there was an incident where I thought the person I was talking to was my brother, but it turned out he wasn't. Then we were always teased and laughed at. Those kinds of horror stories)," said Francine, when asked about her encounters with the supernaturals.
Seth remembered the chill that would creep down his spine in his childhood, every time he heard tales of invisible people lurking just beyond the edges of his vision.
(I climbed a tree and fell. I wasn't OK for a while. It took a long time for my wound to heal. I had a fever and was dizzy. I was scared because they said I hit an invisible person. Then a faith healer saw the ghost by using a candle. The nose (of the ghost) looked like a goblin's. As for the ghost, I don't have one yet, but I really like to prank)," Seth said.
Seth also said that he and Francine would be busy again during the holidays as they promote "SRR."
"The whole holidays mukhang nasa labas uli kami this year. (The entire holidays seem like we're out again this year. Last year, my family watched the live feed of the film festival. I still have a long way to go. I'm not even halfway there yet. Whatever I got today, thank you, but there's still a long way to go)," the young male actor said.
Last year, FranSeth teamed up on the hit MMFF fantasy film "My Future You," where Seth also won the Breakthrough Performance Award during the Gabi ng Parangal.
Francine said she would celebrate the holidays with her family. "Basta pag new year and Christmas, sine-celebrate namin ito with the family. (When we celebrate New Year and Christmas with the family, there are prepared meals on the table, but we keep it simple. We are also gift-giving.)"
Produced by Regal Entertainment, "Shake, Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins" is now showing in cinemas. It is one of the official entries to the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival.
