Over 2,000 passengers logged as DRRMO inspects Manila bus terminals

To prepare for the expected increase in passengers this Christmas season, the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) conducted inspections at selected bus terminals in the City of Manila to ensure safety and operational readiness.
The inspections focused on checking terminal facilities, crowd management, and compliance with safety standards to protect passengers during the peak travel period.
Among the terminals inspected on Wednesday, Dec. 24, was the Solid North Bus Terminal located at Doroteo Jose, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
The terminal serves routes to Dagupan City, San Carlos, Lucena, Sta. Cruz and Calamba.
About 500 passengers were recorded at the time of inspection, with minimal crowding observed.
The first trip departs at 2 a.m., while the last trip leaves at 9 p.m.
Also inspected was the Bataan Transit Bus Terminal, situated along Doroteo Jose, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
The terminal operates routes to Balanga, San Fernando, and Guagua.
An estimated 1,580 passengers were recorded, with moderate crowd levels noted.
The first trip departs at 10:50 a.m., and the last trip is scheduled at 9 p.m.
The DRRMO reiterated its call for bus operators and passengers to follow safety protocols to ensure safe, orderly, and smooth travel during the holiday season.
