Vendor nabbed for raping goddaughter

BACOLOD CITY – A 64-year-old vendor was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 23, in Barangay Zone 16, Talisay City, Negros Occidental for allegedly raping his minor goddaughter.
Police identified the suspect as Boy.
He was arrested on a warrant for sexual assault and act of lasciviousness.
The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region said the victim was raped while resting inside her house after doing the laundry.
The incident caused her trauma and pain.
Police said the suspect was the second most wanted person in the region.
The PRO-NIR warned that criminal acts will never go unpunished and the rule of law will always prevail.
"No matter how elusive, those who break the law will be pursued and held accountable."
