Abaño is new Port of Zamboanga district collector

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A new district collector took over the Bureau of Customs-Port of Zamboanga on Monday, Dec. 22.
Elenita Abaño took over from Zsae Carrie de Guzman.
Abaño, whose appointment was announced during last Monday’s flag-raising ceremony, expressed gratitude and admiration for the hard work shown by the Bureau of Customs here for achieving targets set for the month of December.
“Our ability to meet our collection target reflects the collective commitment of our personnel, the strong collaboration with other government agencies, and the cooperation of our stakeholders,” Abaño stated.
She said that her vision for the Port of Zamboanga includes not only achieving financial targets but also fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.
