Delegates from 19 countries thanked the Philippines, particularly Zambales, for hosting the region's biggest scouting event.
Foreign scout masters cited organizers for their handling of the event.
The Vietnam Scout Delegates praised the security of the event and the police for their courtesy and willingness to help them with their needs. The presence of security personnel and rescue teams assured them of a safe and meaningful experience in Zambales, they added.
The Malaysian Scout Delegates hailed the availability of Halal food. They thanked the organizers for providing them a prayer room.
The Philippines turned over the hosting of the next Asia Pacific Region Scout Jamboree to Thailand in 2029 during the closing ceremony at the Grand Arena in Camp Zambales.
Zambales Gov. and Camp Chief Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. turned over the flag to Thailand Scouting Delegation, marking the end of the massive gathering promoting leadership and peace. Ebdane said that this handover signifies the transition of hosting duties for the major regional scouting event.
The jamboree that promoted cultural exchange, skill-building, and scouting values ended with around 30,000 scouts converging at the ceremonial lighting of the grand campfire in Camp Zambales.
"As the APR Scout Jamboree formally concludes, may you depart strengthened by experience, guided by purpose, and united in commitment. Carry forward the ideals of Scouting and let what was built here continue through your actions, your leadership, and your service to others," Ebdane said.
The grand campfire was lighted by Deputy Camp Chief and Botolan Mayor Jun "Omar" Ebdane and witnessed by former Vice President Jejomar Binay, Zambales Rep. Doris Maniquiz, and officials of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and APR.
After the lighting of the campfire, scouts showcased their dance moves around the campfire with the whole camp singing and dancing with the 33rd APR Scout Jamboree official song "Scouts we are One."
