QCPD: Digital forensic examination of missing bride-to-be reveals emotional distress, financial difficulties
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has disclosed that a digital forensic examination of Sherra De Juan, a bride-to-be reported missing earlier this month, disclosed that she showed signs of emotional distress and financial difficulties.
De Juan was last seen at around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 10 at a gas station along Commonwealth Avenue corner Atherton Street in North Fairview, Quezon City.
Following her reported disappearance, the QCPD conducted a digital forensic examination of her personal electronic devices as part of the ongoing investigation.
According to police findings, the forensic analysis indicates that De Juan had been experiencing significant personal challenges before her disappearance.
Investigators noted signs of emotional distress and financial difficulties, reportedly linked to her father’s medical condition and the pressure surrounding her upcoming wedding.
Further examination of De Juan’s laptop revealed that, before she went missing, she had conducted online searches related to medications that could cause death, the effects of drug overdosing, and similar topics.
Authorities emphasized that these findings form part of the overall assessment of the case and are being handled with extreme care and sensitivity.
The QCPD assured the public that the case remains a top priority and that all possible efforts are being made to locate De Juan.
Coordination is underway with her family, concerned police units, and other relevant agencies to ensure a comprehensive search and investigation.
QCPD acting Chief Pcol Randy Glenn Silvio asked the public for assistance, urging anyone who may have seen De Juan or who may be in contact with her to immediately coordinate with the nearest police station to help ensure her safety.
