Japanese woman booked by police for trying to break into BTS' Jungkook's home in Seoul
Korean police booked a Japanese woman for attempting to break into BTS member Jungkook’s home in Seoul.
According to the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on Dec. 22, the Japanese woman in her 50s is facing a complaint on charges of attempted home invasion and is being investigated for violation of the Korean law Act on Punishment of Crime of Stalking. She was booked on Dec. 16.
The Japanese tourist is accused of attempting to break into Jungkook’s home on Nov. 12 and 14 last month by repeatedly pressing the front door lock.
The report was filed on Nov. 14 but as the suspect was no longer in Korea, she was not questioned.
"An investigation will be conducted if Ms. A re-enters Korea,” said a police official, Korean media reported.
This was not the first time that some tried to break into Jungkook’s home. Last June, a Chinese woman in her 30s was arrested for attempted home invasion after attempting to break into Jungkook's home but the indictment was suspended.
Last August, a Korean woman in her 40s was arrested for home invasion after breaking into Jungkook's parking lot. At the time, she claimed, "I went in because it was a friend's house."
During a live stream, Jungkook warned, "Please don't come here. If you accidentally step into my parking lot, you can't get out. You can't get out unless I open the door for you. You'll just be locked in. And I have CCTV, and I'm watching everything. If you don't want to go to the police station, don't come in. Understood?"
"If you come, I'll just lock you up. So you'll just be taken away. You'll be dragged away. I have evidence and everything, and it's all on record. If you want to be dragged away, come,” he said.
