ILOILO CITY – MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) electricity rate here went down this month by P0.50 to P11.35 per kilowatt-hour from P11.85 in November.
MORE Power attributed the rate decrease to the increased supply margin resulting in lower prices at the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
“We will always assure our customers that even though these generation charges and transmission charges are all pass-through, we see to it that we always make an effort to source from the cheapest price at any given time,” noted MORE Power COO Engr. JM Zaporteza.
The transmission charge also went down from 1.8612 per kWh last November to P1.7918 per kWh this month and system loss from P0.4512 per kWh last month to P0.4086 per kWh in December.
MORE Power’s distribution, supply, and metering charges did not change.
