DOH-NCR recognizes hospitals for sustainable, safe healthcare practices

Several hospitals across Metro Manila were honored by the Department of Health–Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD) for exemplary green, safe, and disaster-ready practices during the agency’s 2025 Green and Safe Health Facilities Recognition ceremony.
According to the agency, the 2025 Green and Safe Health Facilities Recognition ceremony highlighted hospitals that demonstrated excellence in responsible waste management, energy and water efficiency, infection prevention and control, disaster risk reduction, and occupational health and safety.
"Their initiatives reflect adherence to national standards and global best practices for creating healthcare environments that protect patients, health workers, and surrounding communities," the DOH-MMCHD stated.
Certificate of commendation and plaques of recognition were given to the following facilities with corresponding categories:

Some of the hospitals also received Plaques of Appreciation from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Medical and Dental Unit in recognition of their support and partnership during the Trillion Peso March.
"The recognition symbolized the strong inter-agency collaboration that ensured health and medical readiness, safeguarding the well-being of participants throughout the large-scale event," the agency said.
