The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) recognized exemplary community leadership and performance during the 2nd HOME (Homeowners' Outstanding Merit for Excellence) Awards, held on December 17 in Makati City.
The awarding ceremony was led by President and CEO Federico Laxa, together with senior officers of the corporation, and members of the HOME Awards Committee.
The HOME Awards honor outstanding homeowners’ associations (HOAs) that have demonstrated excellence in organizational management, financial responsibility, gender and development initiatives, estate management, and overall community development.
In his message, Laxa underscored the importance of recognizing best practices in community leadership, quoting American change management expert Leslie Yerkes: “What gets recognized, gets repeated.” He emphasized that the success stories of the communities deserve to be shared to inspire other communities to strive for excellence.

Program Development and Enhancement Group Vice President Atty. Maria Rosalie Richa Taguian also congratulated the awardees, commending the winning homeowners’ associations for their dedication to good governance and community leadership.
The rigorous selection and evaluation process was overseen by the HOME Awards Committee headed by Finance and Comptrollership Vice President Dante Anabe, together with its members, Substitution Department Manager Allan Romero, Mega Manila Manager Ofelia Nisperos, Internal Audit Manager Chito Arquillo, and NCR North Manager Jeannie Furiscal.
