PNP confirms death of retired police general Romeo Acop

The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed the death of Antipolo City 2nd District Rep. Romeo Acop. 
Citing a report from the Rizal Provincial Police Office, PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said Acop was pronounced dead at 10:56 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, in a hospital in Antipolo City.
Acop was immediately taken to the hospital after he was found unconscious in his room. 
Police said he died “by natural cause”.
Acop, a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), was a retired police general before he entered politics.
He served as the head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
