BAGUIO CITY – The hotel in this city where former Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral stayed prior to her death last week is fully cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
Ion Hotel said they "will provide any information that may be legally required through proper legal means.”
Police Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives conducted on Sunday morning, Dec. 21, an inspection and re-enactment of Cabral’s death in Tuba, Benguet.
Purpose is to help investigators determine the sequence of events, determine possible causes, and identify any inconsistencies that may assist in the ongoing investigation.
The National Bureau of Investigation had earlier searched the room where Cabral stayed on a warrant issued by the Baguio City Regional Trial Court Branch 6.
The procedure at Ion Hotel at 1:23 a.m. Sunday aims to gather evidence and view closed-circuit television footages to shed light on her death and assist in the ongoing investigation.
The NBI has yet to issue a statement on pieces of evidence gathered.
