MALOLOS CITY – A couple listed among the city’s top 10 most wanted for illegal drugs will spend Christmas behind bars after being arrested in separate police operations in Laguna and Bulacan on Friday, Dec. 19.
Malolos City police chief Lt. Col. Rommel E. Geneblazo said alias “Vin,” ranked fifth on the wanted list, was apprehended at around 1:30 p.m. in Brgy. Santo Domingo, Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Just an hour later, his partner alias “Wilma”, 47, ranked third, was arrested in Brgy. Biñang First, Bocaue, Bulacan.
Both suspects were arrested by the Malolos Police Tracker Team by virtue of warrants of arrest for violations of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The warrants were issued on May 30, 2025, by Judge Jonathan Morales Agnes of Regional Trial Court Branch 6, Malolos City.
The suspects were brought to the Malolos City Police Station for documentation.
Bulacan police director Col. Angel L. Garcillano commended the Malolos police for their intensified manhunt operations.
“Patuloy naming sisikapin na mapanagot sa batas ang mga indibidwal na sangkot sa ilegal na droga at iba pang krimen upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng ating mga komunidad (We will continue to strive to hold accountable under the law those individuals involved in illegal drugs and other crimes to ensure the safety of our communities),” he said.
