Lanson Place Mall of Asia, Manila officially ushered in the holidays with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, celebrating this year’s evocative theme, “Season of Joy.” The evening paid tribute to togetherness, warmth, and the timeless tradition of gathering with those who make the season truly meaningful.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests led by Ms. Elizabeth Sy, President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; Mr. Hans Sy, Chairman of SM Prime Holdings Inc.; and Ms. Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; together with Honourable Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay City.
A beautifully curated musical programme, directed by Nestor Jardin, set the tone for the night. Performances by Vien King, The Opera Belles, and Bernie Pasamba and the Music Masters filled the lobby with orchestral splendour and festive warmth. The celebration continued with an elegant cocktail buffet thoughtfully prepared by the Lanson Place Culinary Team.

In delivering her message, Ms. Peggy Angeles shared a heartfelt reflection on the evening’s theme:
“This evening, under the theme ‘Season of Joy,’ we gather not only to illuminate our Christmas tree but to kindle the spirit of hope, gratitude, and togetherness that this season brings. The twinkling lights before us are more than a festive display — they are a reminder that light finds its way even through the darkest nights.”
This year, Lanson Place continues its meaningful partnership with the Philippine School for the Deaf, supporting year-round initiatives dedicated to enriching the lives of the children in the school, a testament to the hotel’s commitment to creating uplifting, community-centred experiences.
Throughout the festive period, guests are invited to savour Indulgent Festivities at Cyan Modern Kitchen, featuring elevated buffet spreads inspired by global flavours and the joy of sharing meals with loved ones.
