Yearender: Yoo Jae-suk tops list of TV entertainers, comedians who excelled in 2025 in South Korea

Yoo Jae-suk, the beloved host of many popular TV shows in South Korea, has topped the year-end survey for entertainers and comedians who excelled in 2025. 

Gallup Korea released its year-end surveys for Person of the Year, honoring those who excelled in Korean dramas, movies and entertainment. 

For entertainers and comedians, Gallup Korea held a survey from Nov. 11 to 28 among 1,700 respondents aged 13 and above nationwide (except Jeju Island) in South Korea. The respondents were asked, “Who do you think will be the most active variety show entertainer/comedian in 2025?”

For the 14th consecutive year, Yoo Jae-suk topped the survey, getting a whopping 48.2 percent. 

The 53-year-old star is part of the main cast of the TV shows “Running Man,” ‘You Quiz on the Block” and “Hangout with Yoo,” and the host of “Whenever Possible,” “Pinggyego (DdeunDdeun)” and “Synchro U.”

Shin Dong-yup of “My Little Old Boy” and “Immortal Songs,” placed second with 16.3 percent. 

Jun Hyun-moo of ‘“I Live Alone” and “Point of Omniscient Interfere” came in third place with 11.5 percent. 

Kang Ho-dong of “Knowing Bros” is in fourth place with 10.1 percent, followed by Lee Soo-ji with 9.5 percent.

4th Place - Kang Ho-dong  (“Knowing Bros”) - 10.1%

7th Place - Seo Jang-hoon (“Knowing Bros”) - 6.4%
