Still holiday shopping? This bazaar has gifts for everyone on your list
Fashion, home essentials, and gourmet treats come together in a curated lineup of local brands by Soirée by Retail Lab
It’s never easy to shop for mindful gifts, especially when one has a long list to tick off this holiday season. One place shoppers appreciate is the bazaar, where they can discover brands and products suited for every important person in their lives.
Soirée by Retail Lab co-founders Rosanna Aranaz and Claudine Baron-Paulino
Founded by Claudine Baron Paulino and Rosanna Aranaz, Soirée by Retail Lab was established in 2019 to create opportunities for shoppers not only to buy, but also to meet the people behind the brands.
On Dec. 13, 2025, shoppers were already lined up at least 30 minutes before opening. “We got over 8,000 shoppers in just two days, and it was by far the best Soirée, in terms of foot traffic and merchant sales,” Claudine tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “Soirée feels more like a discovery space. Shoppers come to find new brands, connect with the people behind them, and enjoy the experience. The strong sense of community between brands and shoppers also makes it feel more personal,” Rosanna chimes in.
Amanda Griffin-Jacob, Ciara Sotto, Laureen Uy, Martine Cajucom-Ho were just some of the shoppers spotted that weekend. We were also there to scout new brands and gift-worthy finds from over 180 merchants. Here are some that made us take a second look.
Amiere, Oceanefolk, and Russet
For the stylish maven
As soon as we walked in, we were impressed with the list of fashion merchants who had joined. Choose from soft, feminine designs by Amerie; premium wardrobe classics from Blanc Basics; leather bags from Loafe; non-tarnish jewelry by Ocean Folk and Orphic; crystal jewelry from Charms and Co.; customized handmade trinkets by Russet Accessories; and handcrafted press-on nails by L&Co. Jewelry Nails. For those who are into upcycling and sustainable pieces, check out And Again Clothing for upcycled flour sacks turned into outfits, along with Kael’s Street reworked pieces from vintage tea towels and tablecloths.
Active Green and Lunched
For the thoughtful homemaker
Homeware is often overlooked, but these finds can instantly elevate any space. Discover candles and diffusers from Cosette and Simone Gift Studio, kitchen and bath organizers by Mayfair and Co., sustainable candles and crystal-infused hand sanitizers by Ming Sing, and luxe silk pillowcases by Lily and Adora. Newcomer Lunched offers microwave-safe plastic containers with silicone covers, while Activ Green brings together sustainable products sourced from communities across the country.
Kabute Farms, Kubo Honey, and Xocolat
For the food enthusiast
Edible gifts are often the easiest to give, but this doesn’t mean we just choose any food item. Choose from artisanal and gourmet offerings from frozen steaks and premium meats by The Fat Butcher, fatty salmon sashimi from Shoyu Zuke, mushroom chips and sisig by Kabute Farms, wild honey from different Philippine islands by Kubo Honey, burnt basque cheesecakes by Moon Croissanterie, chocolate powder drinks by Xocolat, freshly baked sourdough cookies from Daybreak Delights, single origin drinking chocolate by Conch and Butter, flavored nut butters from But Better World, and La Mesa Mead that offers alcoholic drinks made from fermented honey.
Darling Lexie and This and That
For the little ones
Sunday dresses by Darling Lexie always make both parents and little daughters giddy. Nappy Baby’s pajamas and blankets come with cooling fiber that boosts better sleep. Have fun customizing colorful waterproof pouches by This and That with letter patches.
Promate and Store It
For the go-getters
Equip loved ones and friends with gadgets that help them stay a step ahead with Promate Lifestyle. From practical tech accessories to a wide range of power banks suited to different needs and lifestyles, these are smart gifts for those always on the go. To keep things organized amid busy schedules, Store It’s silicone bags offer a sleek, reusable way to protect everyday essentials.
There’s another Soiree happening until Dec. 21 at SoFA Proscenium. “As the Soirée community keeps growing, we wanted to create more chances for brands to join and for people to drop by—especially for those who couldn’t make it to the first weekend,” says Rosanna.
Caludine adds, “The next Soirée will be smaller and more intimate, featuring some of the best-loved Soirée brands. Shoppers can expect a more relaxed pace and a chance to really engage with the brands—perfect for those who enjoy a quieter, more curated shopping experience.”
When asked what shopping tips the co-founders can share, “Come early for the best selection, especially for limited or handmade pieces. Take your time and walk through the entire space before purchasing so you don’t miss hidden gems. Talk to the merchants, because many brands love sharing the story behind their products, and you often discover pieces you wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. And lastly, shop with intention, and support brands you genuinely connect with and enjoy the experience.”
