SPD's 24-hour anti-crime campaign yields P817K illegal drugs
A total of 49 individuals, some of them on the wanted list, were arrested for possession of illegal drugs and other violations during a 24-hour intensified anti-criminality campaign conducted by the Southern Police District (SPD) from December 18 to 19.
SPD Director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo said police stations across southern Metro Manila recorded significant operational accomplishments during the campaign, resulting in the arrest of 49 individuals.

Arceo said the district’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs led to the seizure of illegal substances valued at P817,072 consisting of 96.63 grams of shabu, 193.4 grams of marijuana, and 97.7 grams of marijuana kush, and in the arrest of 22 individuals.
He added that nine arrest warrants were served during the period, leading to the apprehension of one top most wanted person, two most wanted persons, and seven other wanted individuals.
The SPD chief also reported that 16 individuals were arrested for illegal gambling, with P4,191 in gambling money confiscated from them.
Arceo further said that the district’s intensified campaign against loose firearms resulted in the arrest of one individual and the confiscation of one firearm.
In addition, a total of 3,606 violators of local ordinances were recorded within the SPD’s area of responsibility, with P504,200 in fines imposed.
“The increased operational tempo, persistent enforcement efforts, and strengthened cooperation with the community reflect the district’s continuing commitment to maintaining peace, public safety, and order,” Arceo said.
