Security guard, laborer shot dead in Zambales

TWO individuals were killed inside a mechanic school in Iba, Zambales on Sunday, Dec. 14.

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A security guard who allegedly shot and killed a fellow security guard and a construction worker during a drinking session in a mechanic school in Iba Airport, Barangay Lipay-Dingin-Panibuatan, Iba town, Zambales province on Sunday, Dec. 14, has surrendered.

The suspect, of Alaminos City, Pangasinan province, turned himself in to Mayor Liseldo Calugay of Sual, Pangasinan and Sual police led by Police Major Vincent Jasper Magsarili on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

The suspect and his service firearm were turned over to the Zambales Provincial Police Office.

Investigation said the suspect was having a drinking session with the victims, also from Alaminos City, when he suddenly drew a gun and shot them. One of the victims died on the spot and the other passed away in a hospital.

Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
