Thousands of students now have reliable high-speed internet for the first time through Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth Program, which connects six schools in Surigao del Norte, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental, transforming their online learning opportunities.
Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has revolutionized digital learning for thousands of Filipino students by expanding its Blockchain4Youth initiative with high-speed Starlink satellite internet.
The program now connects six schools across Surigao del Norte, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental, providing students and teachers with reliable online access for the first time.
The schools benefiting from this initiative include Espoir School of Life and Lasala Integrated School in Surigao del Norte; Apo Elementary School and the Arts & Design Collective Dumaguete in Negros Oriental; and Siquijor State College and Siquijor Provincial Science High School in Siquijor.
For many students, this rollout marks their first exposure to high-speed internet, transforming how classes are conducted and how teachers prepare lessons.
Previously reliant on printed worksheets, students can now engage with interactive learning tools, online lessons, and digital literacy programs that were previously inaccessible.
“This project is not just about connectivity — it’s about opportunity,” said Bitget Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gracy Chen. “By bringing Starlink to these islands, we are giving thousands of young people their first real access to the digital world and the tools they need to participate in tomorrow’s economy.”
As part of the program, Bitget conducted educator consultations, digital readiness assessments, and early testing of Blockchain4Youth learning modules, ensuring teachers are equipped to maximize the new resources.
Students now have access to Web3 education, interactive learning materials, and opportunities to develop digital skills critical for the future.
This initiative is part of Bitget’s PayFi Islands program, aimed at expanding digital infrastructure and education in underserved regions.
By combining high-speed internet with ongoing educational support, Bitget is helping students bridge the digital divide, improve learning outcomes, and gain meaningful skills for the global digital economy.
Founded in 2018, Bitget is the world’s largest UEX, serving over 120 million users worldwide. Through initiatives like Blockchain4Youth and partnerships with organizations such as UNICEF, Bitget promotes digital education, crypto literacy, and blockchain learning for communities around the globe.
