The Filipino-Indian Commerce and Welfare Society, Inc. (FICWSI) has extended medical support to Baby Aviannalyn, a Filipino child who was born with a serious heart defect.
Manjinder James Kumar, founder and president of FICWSI, said the baby and her mother left the Philippines last Oct. 31 and returned to the country last Dec. 16 after a successful open-heart surgery in Bengaluru, India.
Kumar said the immediate assistance to Baby Aviannalyn was made possible through the help of Rotarians Nischal Pandey and Rajendra Rai of the Rotary Needy Heart Foundation (RNHF), Rotarian Bimal Desai of the Rotary Club of Bengaluru, Midtown, and Rotarian Rajiv Srivastava.
He said: “The surgery marks a powerful example of cross-border cooperation and compassion, uniting Filipino and Indian organizations in a shared mission to save lives and support families in need.”
Kumar then expressed deep gratitude to all partners involved, emphasizing that the initiative reflects the core values of service, empathy, and global solidarity upheld by the FICWSI.
He assured that the FICWSI will continue “to extend its hand through meaningful welfare initiatives, aimed at creating lasting impact and hope for vulnerable communities.”
