Video streaming platform Disney+ announced an increase for its subscription rates in the Philippines starting on Dec. 18.
“We are introducing an updated pricing plan for our Disney+ offering in the Philippines as we continue to curate an extensive collection of award-winning general entertainment, Disney+ Korean Originals, and Japanese anime – alongside fan favorites from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more,” it announced.
The price of its new subscription rates increased to P289 from P249 for its basic monthly plan, and P2,290 from P1,990 for its basic annual plan.
For the premium plan, the monthly rate increased to P599 from P519, and its annual rate increased to P4,850 from P4,190.
“From December 18, 2025, the price for new subscriptions to the Disney+ Basic Plan will be PHP 289 per month and PHP 599 per month for Disney+ Premium. The subscription price for annual plans will change to PHP 2,290 for Disney+ Basic and PHP 4,850 for Disney+ Premium,” Disney+ announced.
It added, “Existing Disney+ subscribers will see the new prices take effect from their first billing cycle on or after January 18, 2025. Please note that the new prices take effect from December 18, 2025 for the new user and from 18 January for the existing users as on December 18, 2025. If your billing period ends before this date but your payment isn’t successfully processed until on or after January 18, 2025, the new prices will apply.”
