The Makati City Police has arrested a 38-year-old man for raping a 15-year-old girl in Makati City on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Based on the police report, the suspect, identified as "Bonifacio," a resident of Taguig City, purposely separated the child from her friends during a social gathering in Barangay Pitogo, Taguig City.
He subsequently brought the victim to an appartelle in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City, where he proceeded to sexually assault her.
The victim told her mother about the abuse, prompting them to report the incident to the police.
A follow-up operation against the suspect was immediately launched, which led to his arrest.
Bonifacio was detained at the Makati City Police custodial facility and is now facing statutory rape charges.
"The complaint has been formally referred to the WCPD Office under CR No. W-2025-12-110 and will undergo an inquest proceeding at the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office," the Southern Police District (SPD) said.
