3 minor suspects in Tondo stabbing incident surrender to MPD-SMaRT

Three of the six minor suspects involved in a stabbing incident in Tondo surrendered to the Manila Police District’s Special Mayor’s Reaction Team (MPD-SMaRT) on Tuesday night, December 16.
The incident, which was captured on video by a netizen, circulated widely on social media, particularly on Facebook.
According to the Manila Police District–Jose Abad Santos Police Station (PS-7), two of the minor suspects personally went to the MPD-SMaRT office, while another surrendered at PS-7.
The minors were accompanied by their respective parents during the surrender.
The stabbing occurred at around 8:35 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, along Hermosa Street corner Limay Street in Tondo, Manila.
Three minor victims were injured in the incident and are currently recovering in the hospital. All victims are residents of Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Police authorities are still searching for the remaining three minor suspects allegedly involved in the altercation.
Authorities are preparing to file charges of Frustrated Homicide in a Tumultuous Affray against the suspects before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office as part of the ongoing inquest proceedings.
As the suspects are minors, they will be turned over to the Manila Department of Social Welfare and Development following the completion of the inquest, in accordance with existing laws.
