ABS-CBN to air top shows on ALLTV after ending TV5 partnership
ABS-CBN Corp. signed a licensing agreement with billionaire Manuel Villar Jr.’s Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. to air the Kapamilya Channel on the ALLTV Network starting Jan. 2, 2026.
The media company controlled by the Lopez family disclosed the deal to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday, a move that follows the termination of a partnership with Manuel Pangilinan’s TV5 Network Inc. after a dispute regarding revenue sharing.
ABS-CBN said it has acceded to TV5’s notice of termination and will settle outstanding obligations to TV5 and Mediaquest Holdings Inc. as it winds down that engagement.
The shift marks a realignment in the Philippine media landscape. Villar’s AMBS operates on the Channel 2 frequency that was previously held by ABS-CBN before the broadcaster lost its congressional franchise in 2020.
While ABS-CBN has functioned as a content provider for various networks since the shutdown, the new pact consolidates its presence on its former broadcast home.
AMBS has been a partner of ABS-CBN since 2024, carrying selected programs under the Jeepney TV brand along with the news program TV Patrol and variety show It’s Showtime. Under the expanded agreement, ALLTV will broadcast prime-time series such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and variety programs, including ASAP.
Despite the new arrangement, ABS-CBN will maintain some presence on other platforms. Prime programs will remain available on A2Z, while It’s Showtime and Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 will continue to air on GMA Network Inc.
