The Pasig City local government continues its commitment to valuing employees who have dedicated many years to public service by granting awards and incentives to 59 retired and soon-to-retire local government employees during the Service Award for Retirees 2025 on Monday, December 15.
The recognition was conducted under the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), administered by the Human Resource Development Office (Pasig City HRDO), as part of the flag-raising ceremony.
The local government said that the employees received a Plaque of Recognition for their significant contributions, as well as a personalized Fossil wristwatch engraved with the Pasig City Seal, their names, and the years of their service.
They also received a gift certificate worth P2,000 to P10,000, depending on four categories based on the length of their service.
“Maraming salamat sa serbisyo ninyo na tumagal ng ilang dekada sa ating lokal na pamahalaan at sa lahat ng naiambag ninyo sa ating mahal na Lungsod ng Pasig (Thank you very much for your decades of service to our local government and for all that you have contributed to our beloved City of Pasig),” Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said as he recognized them.
“Maraming salamat po sa inyong tapat at masigasig na serbisyo. Hindi biro ang maglaan ng mahabang panahon para maglingkod sa kapwa Pasigueño—kayo ay patunay ng dedikasyon at malasakit sa bayan (Thank you very much for your loyal and dedicated service. It is no small feat to devote so many years to serving fellow Pasigueños—you are a testament to dedication and care for the community),” Councilor Angelu De Leon also said.
The city government also thanked them for their service and contributions to building honest and effective governance.
“Sa ika-apat na taon ng pagpapatupad ng Service Award for Retirees, muling pinagtitibay ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Pasig ang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa sipag, dedikasyon, at malasakit ng mga kawani na nagsilbing haligi ng tapat na pamamahala (Now in its fourth year of implementation, the Service Award for Retirees once again affirms the Pasig City Government’s sincere gratitude for the diligence, dedication, and commitment of employees who served as pillars of honest and effective governance),” it stated.
“Maligayang pagreretiro po at maraming salamat sa inyong serbisyo para sa mga Pasigueño! (Warm congratulations on your retirement, and thank you very much for your service to the Pasigueños),” it added.
The Service Award for Retirees is in accordance with PRAISE Resolution No. 2, series of 2021, which aims to recognize employees who have rendered at least 15 years of continuous service to the Pasig City Government and have reached the mandatory retirement age of 65.
