CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera on Monday installed 159 new police officers during a ceremony in this camp.
PRO-Cordillera chief Police Brig. Gen. Ericson Dilag led the induction and distribution of Automated Teller Machine cards to the new police officers composed of 139 recruits under the attrition quota and 20 recruits under the regular quota.
More than 1,200 individuals applied but only 159 applicants passed the rigorous recruitment and selection process.
They will undergo a six-month public safety basic recruit course, followed by a six-month field training program, as part of their preparation to become full-fledged police officers.
Dilag urged them to uphold the PNP core values of Makadiyos, Makabayan, Makatao, and Makakalikasan. He reminded them that these principles should guide their training and future service, rooted in integrity, discipline, and dedication to serving the people.
