Marcos names Anna Liza Logan as his new chief legal counsel

President Marcos has appointed lawyer Anna Liza Logan as the new Chief Presidential Legal Counsel, replacing the late former legal adviser Juan Ponce Enrile.
Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro announced Logan's designation in a Palace briefing on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Prior to her appointment, Logan was the Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs of the Office of the President.
She has an extensive law practice in Civil and Criminal Litigation; Family, Labor and Human Settlements Adjudication Commission Cases, Corporate and Commercial practice for financial technology companies, real estate development entities and NGO as partner of Logan Masukat Ronulo Huang, as Junior Partner of Marcos Ochoa Serapio and Tan (MOST), as Associate of Agabin Verzola Hermoso Layaoen & De Castro.
The President's legal adviser post has been vacant since the passing of Enrile in November.
Aside from Logan, several officials were also appointed by the President in the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES).
Lawyer Maria Luwalhati Dorotan Tiuseco was appointed as senior deputy executive secretary, Atty. Danielle Marie Rieza-Culangen was designated as deputy executive secretary for General Administration; Atty. Joseph Irvin Obenza was named as deputy executive secretary for Financial Affairs; Atty. Jesse Hermogenes Andres was appointed as deputy executive secretary for Legal Affairs; Atty. Erwin Sta. Ana was named as OES-Undersecretary for Economic Affairs; and Atty. Alemar Mosquito as assistant secretary under OES.
